Hayes as President on Executive Mansion letterhead. He wrote to the violinist Ede Remnyi who performed for the President at the White House: 7 Jany 1881 My Dear Sir: Accept my profound thanks for your note. With best wishes believe me Sincerely, R. B. Hayes Ed. Remnyi &c &c. The letter is inlaid and the blank third page has a small hole in it that does not affect the Presidents handwriting.
