Note: Originally named Negro Digest under the independent publishing house, John H. Johnson, the creator of Ebony and Jet magazines, which was in print for 34 years. In contemporary times, the magazine was relaunched by Bayer Mack in 2021 as "The only magazine for Black men in America". It was published in Chicago, Illinois. This issue featured a Stokely Carmichael letter.
