Philadelphia, 1853. Paperback. Good. Softcover issues. Volumes were consecutively paginated. Each of our 1849 issues contains 24 pages. The 1853 issues are mostly 8 pages except for No. 8 which contains 16 pages. No separate wrappers. 28-29 cm. Issues generally sound with some combination of spotting, staining, soiling and creasing. Various former owner's names on a few issues. Volume IV was edited by Samuel Rhoads; New Series, Volume 1 was edited by Willim Allison. THe Non-Slaveholder was a monthly abolitionist publication published in Philadelphia from 1846-1854. The editors appear to have also been heavily involved in the Philadelphia Free Produce Association of Friends.
