Marbled endpapers. Publisher device on title page. Published and translated from the Vatican manuscript and accompanied by an introduction, a glossary, and a list of proper names. Based on the text in old French by the Norman trouvère Ambrose who accompanied King Richard to Cyprus and Acre, assumed to be dated 1195/96 and translated into modern French. Contains a double-page lithograph of the original manuscript. Text in French. With light wear along edges of binding though front joint cracked and back joint scuffed. Light scuffing of raised bands. Previous owner's name inked to half-title. Block lightly age-toned.
