L'Osteomateopate: la seule canne en harmonie itetudienne pour les ebats de nos reves petaloides, No. 2

By Ars, Jacques [Editor]
Rennes: MJC, 1978. Issue no. 2. [8] pp. With three original stickers laid in. Publishers pink illustrated self-wraps, inner contents laid in, unbound. Near Fine, lightly worn.

The second issue (of ten total) of a campy, pun-packed avant-garde publication produced early in the career of longtime Rennais queer activist, book-dealer, and bibliographer Jacques Ars. L'Ostéomatéopate was a proto-zine posing as a journal "pour nous faux-éphèbes, efféminées, tapettes, gouins, pédales, anti-macchottes, folles en mouvement, gays libideurs hystériques, Carolines du 3ième âge, punks-pinks no futur, bourgeoises décadentes, folles travailleuses en lutte, folles moyen-âgeueses en mouvance, folles lesbiennes, éphemmes." With a cut-and-paste punk aesthetic reflective of the radical queer gender and sexual politics of France in the late 1970's, aggressively anti-assimilationist and humorous.

Extremely scarce: no copies located in OCLC, none in the trade at present, and hardly a mention on the internet.
