Organized in the same format as the state guides in the American Guide Series, with first section of essays on the Valley (i.e. Geology, Climate, Flora, Fauna, History, and Borax) followed by two sections of tours: Main Highways,' with 7 tours, and 'Rough Highways,' with 13 tours. Illustrations arranged in three sections: 'The Landscape,' 'Mostly those who Live in the Valley,' and 'Roads and Tourist Accommodations,' the fine photographs include three by Edward Weston.
