Dead Cert
- London: Michael Joseph, 1962
First UK Edition (True First)/First Printing; A Near Fine book in a Very Good dust jacket. A nicely preserved copy of this title, the author's first work of fiction and his first mystery centered around horse racing; Francis would go on to establish himself as one of the great mystery writers of the 20th Century. This title uncommon in the first UK edition in the original jacket, particularly in this condition. This copy is in near fine condition with light rubbing to the edges, faint soiling to the text block, and a previous owner's name and address to the front free paper; housed in a clean and crisp very good original dust jacket that shows minor soiling to the panels, mild rubbing and chipping to the spine ends, and one short closed tear to the back panel. Not remaindered, not price clipped (15s Net intact), not ex-library; in a protective Mylar cover and will ship in a new sturdy box.
