United Artists. No binding. Just About Fine. [Los Angeles]: United Artists, 1942. Set of 14 vintage original 8 x 10" (20 x 25 cm) black-and-white photos, of which two are double weight and two are linen-backed keybook prints. Overall just about fine. ONE OF OUR AIRCRAFT IS MISSING is a black-and-white war film, mainly set in the German-occupied Netherlands and the fourth collaboration between the British writer-director-producer team of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, and the first film they made under the banner of The Archers. Although at the time considered a propaganda film and made under the authority of the Ministry of Information as part of a series of film productions aimed at morale in the United Kingdom, it is elevated by the story and production values and is now considered one of the great British films of its era.
