Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. No binding. Near Fine. [Los Angeles: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1932]. Vintage original 10 x 13" (25 x 32 cm) black-and-white double weight glossy silver gelatin photo. Attached paper blurb, near fine. The notorious pre-code film Red-Headed Woman--based on the novel by Katharine Brush with a screenplay by Anita Loos--to this day is shocking with its presentation of a woman who will do anything to get ahead, including ruining her boss' marriage. Donning a red wig to cover her platinum blonde hair, Jean Harlow moved to star status at MGM. In this rare behind-the-scenes image, we see her at work seducing boss Chester Morris on a set consisting of a tiny phone booth, as director Jack Conway and crew do their creative jobs.
