First printed in England ca. 1735, an encyclopedic compendium of a wide range of practical instruction, including technical work, carpentry and painting, mathematics, sun dials, accounting, legal drafts, medical and culinary receipts, embroidery (with full page diagrams,) etc. Re-printed first by Benjamin Franklin in its American adaptation in 1748, and subsequently throughout the second half of the 18th century.
