Scarce dust jacket. The book contains stories that are illustrated with black line drawings as well as full-page color pictorials. Cartoons from Silly Symphonies are illustrated in color on glazed plates. The Silly Symphonies were a series of film shorts produced by Disney between 1929 through 1939 featuring cartooning set to music, most without sequels. The eight included in this publication are the Big Bad Wolf, The Country Cousin, The Little Wise Hen, The Tortoise and the Hare, Elmer Elephant, The Grasshopper and the Ants, The Golden Torch, and The Three Mouseketeers.
