A late 1920's advertising booklet "Dedicated to the modern woman", promoting the "Meadows Select-a-Speed" washing machine sold by Meadows Manufacturing Co. in Illinois. Offers tips for "modern home laundering" and stain removal using the new washing machine, dubbing old-fashioned washboards and scrubbing "out of date". Features in-text illustrations throughout of stylish women in bobs smiling over chores that seem to do themselves, and a large centerfold illustration promoting the washing machine. Single vol. (9" by 6"), pp. 34, illus., in original illus. wrps with image of woman lounging instead of working herself to the bone now that she has a new washing machine.
