From the abstract: This is a summary of the cultural heritage resource surveys and oral history interviews collected between 1978 and 1993, and results of the 1991 Passport in Time Historic Community Survey. These investigations recorded over 220 historic sites, including the remains of small farmsteads, light industrial sites, agricultural landscapes, churches, schools, and cemeteries. The buildings were all torn down when the government acquired the properties in the late 1930's.
