Jobs - Not breadlines [handbill]
- Buffalo, NY: John Brown Club, Communist Party, 1945
Buffalo, NY: John Brown Club, Communist Party, 1945. 8.5x11 inch handbill, toned, "Buffalo August 1945" penciled in lower margin, otherwise very good. "Thousands of Buffalo workers are now out of work. In many plants practically all Negro workers have been laid off. After working hard to produce for winning the war, these workers are now thrown out on the streets.... The wartime gains of the Negro people, and of all workers, are being threatened with destruction! They are trying to drive us out of the shops, back into the service trades, at lower standards. That's why they attack the FEPC. That's why they are trying to force Negro workers out of the shops, to work at pre-war wages, and in pre-war, Jim-crow jobs. Don't let them get away with it!" Calls on the reader to contact elected representatives in support of the Murray Full Employment Bill and permanent FEPC.
