The text is in a fine, calligraphic hand thrughout, the opening spread highlighted with red and green watercolors; sections include phrases and idioms (including topics such as food, birds, fish, vegetables, money, metals, clothing, etc.; and another section on proverbs, followed by the French-English lexicon A-Z.
