Bernard "Buddy" Rich (1917-1987) was an American jazz drummer, songwriter, conductor and bandleader. He is considered one of the most influential drummers of all time. Brilliant and innovative, he was known to be volatile and difficult to work with and for. (Wikipedia)

The earliest photo is from his 1941 appearance in the Paramount film Las Vegas Nights when he was part of the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. The second is a ca. late-1940s talent agency photo. The last is likely from the early-1970s when he opened his own nightclub, "Buddy's Place", in Manhattan while incorporating rock elements into his repertoire to adapt to changing tastes.
