Unbound. Near Fine. Sepia-toned gelatin silver photograph. Image size 4" x 5.75" on a 6" x 8" card photographer's mount. A little rubbing on the corners, image is fine; card in very good. Written on the verso of the mount, in a contemporary hand: "Happy New Year. Jan. 1st 1907. James C. Webber. Chief trumpeter of Troop 'A'. I.T.V.M. [Indian Territory Volunteer Militia?]. Delaware and Cherokee Indian. Muskogee, I. T. [Indian Territory]." Three quarter image shows Webber in full uniform, holding his trumpet and his hat. A sharp, clear, and striking image.
