Thomson (1700 - 1748) was a was a Scottish poet and playwright, best known for the poems The Seasons and The Castle of Indolence, and for the lyrics of "Rule, Britannia!" 8vo, half brown leather over cream paper-nacked boards, spine with raised bands and title in gilt. marbleized endpapers, (5), 6-180. Cover moderately soiled, interiors quite nice. Solid binding.
