ALL ads and slips are present, as called for by Hatton & Cleaver, with the following exceptions: part XI, lacking "The Pride of London" slip; part XII, lacking "The Winter Season" ad; part XVI, lacking "Temple of Fashion" ad (the rare "Foreign Travel" slip in part VII, which is known in only 6 copies is not present here). Annotated by Thomas Hatton in part XIX/XX on the final leaf of the Advertiser, thus: "M. C. 19/20 (being pp 23/24 of Front Adverts) to follow plates" - Errata is 14 lines and the vignette title is in the first state with the British Pounds symbol following "100." Illustrated by Hablot K. Browne. The plates in part XIX/XX are lightly age-toned, the plates in parts I, XIV, XV and XVI are tanned at edges; all others are very good to fine; tissue guards are in place. Octavo, [i-vii]viii[ix]x-xii[xiii]xiv[xv-xvi], [1]2-624. An outstanding set in every respect, internally very clean and bright; minor soiling to a few wrappers; neat subscriber's name on front wrap of parts III, V, X, XII and XIV; spines expertly renewed on most parts.
