Carlyle arranged his work in three parts, the first subtitled "The Bastille," the second part "The Constitution," and the final part "The Guillotine." Bookplate on each front pastedown, minor scattered foxing to first few and last few leaves of each volume. Withal, a very good set in contemporary bindings. Untrimmed.
