A DISCOURSE, DELIVERED IN THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, IN THE CITY OF ALBANY; BEFORE THE LADIES' SOCIETY, FOR THE RELIEF OF DISTRESSED WOMEN AND CHILDREN, MARCH 18TH, 1804
1804 · Albany
by Nott, Eliphalet
Albany: Charles and George Webster, 1804. 39, [1] pp. Disbound. Light scattered foxing. Very Good. An Appendix consists of a eulogy to Mrs. Nott, who had died "after a lingering and doubtful illness" a week before this Discourse. The last page, 'By the Printer,' endorses the Society, which had been founded in March 1803. The printer asserts that "there is not one instance, where relief has been given to idle vagrants coming from abroad in pursuit of charity."
