(no dust jacket) [nice-looking copy, light bumping at extremities, slight scrunching to bottom corners of a few pages, one letter of title on front cover slightly chipped, a few small puncture-wounds of mysterious origin to the ffep; the binding is nice and square, although the front hinge is a bit weak]. British novel, about a young woman who devotes herself to social service and charity work, and becomes involved in labor unrest in connection with her work with the Ironworkers Union in London.
