Original green cloth binding is moderately faded, with the spine slightly frayed, and corners lightly bumped. Title page and a few other pages with very light discoloration to the top edge. There is old tape adhesive residue on first and final several pages including the back of the frontisportrait. Contains illustrations from photos as well as 17 maps. There is a presentation inscription on the front endpaper that is partly scribbled out, but appears to have been signed by the author. First edition. Howes D20..
