An important book based on a student's comprehensive notes. The volumes contain the 33 lectures (with separate pagination) Gay-Lussac gave between April and August of 1828. His lectures give provide a ' proof ' of the atomic theory and contain much that is of interest on the constitution of salts. The copy offered here contains the four pages of notes and errata sent only to the original subscribers of the book after publication (according to the entry in Cole) as well as the ' Advis ' slip noted by Cole to be present only in some copies (subscribers?).
