By Warren, J C - NEUROLOGY - EVOLUTION
Boston: J W Ingraham, 1822. First Edition.. Original publisher's printed boards. . Good; boards detached; spine abraded; some paper residue on the front and rear joint; feint tide mark to the lower portion of the plates otherwise clean throughout.. 8vo, [4], [5] - 159, [1 - blank] pp. + 8 engraved plates.

Warren is best known as a surgeon. The book offered here is an early publication for the author and atypical of the sort of thing published in post colonial America. The text has a vague foreshadowing of Darwin's theory of evolution. The plates are quite detailed. Kelly & Burrage, pp. 1263-1264.
