London: W Wilson, 1674. Second Edition.. Full contemp. calf.. A very good copy in a beautifully preserved 17th century binding.. 4to. A frontis. portrait of the subject.
Buck [or Buc] the poet and historian is supposed to be the author of this work. It is based on a fragment of the orig mss. that states he was the author. The book is an attempt to prove Richard III innocent of the crimes imputed to him by the great playwright. There are interesting historical notes and some of medical consequence, e.g., Richard being born with natalatious teeth. The copy offered here is a particularly bright copy in an appealing contemporary binding. New Wing B 5307.
