He was a correspondent internationally for many years, including in the Middle East. This book is about the Three Day War of 1967, and was published in the same year. MacLeish was sent by Westinghouse to cover the situation in May 1967. He first visited Cairo and then arrived in Tel Aviv on June 4. The war broke out on June 5.
