Cameron (1865-1945) was a Scottish artist and etcher who particularly excelled in his renderings of architectural motifs. A particularly intense and dramatic example of his work.
Accompanied by two color photographs, taken in 1978 of a similar or possibly identical gargoyle, which may have been the original that Cameron depicted.
