Berkeley: Bay Area Student Committee for the Abolition of the House Committee on Un-American Activities, 1961. [8p.] pamphlet, 8.5x11 inches, paper toned, otherwise very good. Undated, but includes a reprint of an article from late November, 1960. Early New Left controversy over HUAC. The film "Operation Abolition" was produced to counter the anti-HUAC protest in San Francisco where protesters, mostly UC Berkeley students, were washed down City Hall steps by fire hoses. This movement laid the basis for the Free Speech Movement at UC Berkeley and all that followed.
