("Mary ") in red ink on her engraved Mary Martin letterhead, Palm Springs, June 7, 1976. 5 3/4" x 7 3/4"; 2 pages (front only); very good. Together with the original typed envelope, stamped and postmarked Palm Springs, June 8, 1976 with return address on back flap of 364 Vereda Norte, Palm Springs, California 92262. To Mr. John Engstead (noted Hollywood photographer) Rt1 125 Papaua Place Lahaina Laui, Hawaii 96761 "Dear John: My journies, OOPS Journeys, are finished and I returned home about a week ago a basket case, with my side kick, General Nuisance, in a duplicate basket. We would have made a great photo as we stumbled over the doorstep. But, back breaker through it was, it was gratifying to 'meet the people' and also yakking to sell the books! The newspapers picked up the photo from the cover of the book and used it madly and so I ALWAYS looked at my best! Janet and Paul have returned from the opening of her show in New York, which was a wild success. They are here until the 20th, when they take off for London, where Paul will teach for a month. I think they return here in August. My summer plans . some more traveling. On July 4th I'll be unveiled in bronze, life size as Peter Pan, on the lawn of the Weatherford Library! So, I'll spend some time there with my sister, and then Ben and I'll take a boat I've chartered and roam the coast of California so that I'll be quiet and rest and get myself really together for making decisions and then to work. So glad you were happy with my TV reflections. (I did't see them; Thank the Good Lord!). Your new stationery is DIVINE! You are a caution (the word was invented for YOU!). Love you!!! Always, Mary". No Binding. Very Good.
