The photos were taken in New York, a Texas prison, Nicaragua, Harlem, London, Paris, a Texas mental hospital, California, Ireland, etc. Mahurin is also known as an illustrator, painter, film director, cinematographer, producer, and teacher. This photographer has done it all, from landing Time Magazine cover illustrations right out of school, to his music video works for bands like Metallica, U2, and R.E.M..
