A very fine copy with printed dust jacket (jacket spine faded and with two small spots). The first book from the Greenwood Press. Jack Stauffacher started his Press in San Mateo. In 1947 he moved to San Francisco to join the colony of printers established there. In 1955 he went to Europe where for three years he studied typography, mainly in Italy. On his return he accepted a post at the Laboratory Press, founded by Porter Garnett at Carnegie Tech., Pittsburgh.
