Printed letterpress in Kennerley type and printed on Legion Letterpress paper. Cover decorations by Valenti Angelo reproduced from the Colt Press' The Wife of Martin Guerre, 1941. Founded by Robert Grabhorn's wife, Jane, along with W. M. Roth and Jane Swinerton, the Colt Press flourished from 1938 until the War dissolved the partnership in 1941. All the Colt Press books were printed by The Grabhorn Press. The first book from the Press was Oscar Lewis' Lola Montez, the Mid-Victorian Bad Girl in California..
