(14)pp. Six linoleum cuts printed in green. Stitched brown wrappers, white label printed in green on front cover. A very fine copy. The linoleum cuts are by Joyce Lancaster Wilson. This keepsake was printed for presentation to the members of the joint meeting of The Roxburghe Club of San Francisco and The Zamorano Club of Los Angeles. The text was taken from an essay, Cato the Elder on Old Age from Cicero: Selected Works, translated by Michael Grant. Adrian Wilson, designer and printer, started printing with Jack Stauffacher in 1948. Two years later he set up his own establishment in his home in San Francisco under the title of "At the Sign of the Interplayers." In 1952 he opened a shop in downtown San Francisco along with other printers in "Vegetable Row." His major work was "Printing for the Theater," 1957..
