A VERY NICE COPy with minor occasional browning, in a handsome contemporary binding. Although first published in 1782, this popular compilation from the author's oeuvre, here designated A NEW EDITION, was often reprinted, the selection being altered from edition to edition. The alphabetical Table of Contents leads the reader to a variety of excerpts (the letter D. for example): The Dwarf, Reflections on Duty, Difference in Men, Defamation, Dissatisfaction, Distress, and Corporal Trim's Reflections on Death.
