"A sermon on the fall of man. Fourth edition" with a fly-title at p. [429]. William King (1685-1763) a miscellaneous writer, was the principal of St. Mary Hall, Oxford and was head of the Jacobite Party at Oxford. "In February 1755 King had the pleasing duty of taking to Johnson his diploma of M.A., and found in him a warm admirer of both his scholarship and politics" (DNB).
