Albany: printed and sold by Pratt & Doubleday, 1814. From the 17th Glasgow edition, 12mo, pp. 280; full tree calf, black leather spine label lettered in gilt; binding a bit rubbed, especially at joints and edges, upper cover bowed, endpapers darkened, else a very good copy. A prolific writer and one of the most controversial religious figures of his day, Sherlock (1641?-1707) was involved in several notorious religious quarrels, most notably the Revolution of 1688.
