Author Sherwood Anderson Autographs Books For A Fellow Writer

TLS. 1pg. 8 x 11. No Date. No Place. A typed letter signed Sherwood Anderson to author Henry Tatnall Brown, Jr. (1871-1938), obliging a request to autograph books: I have your letter. It happens that I am going away for ten days. After that send the books to Ripshin Farm, Trout Dale, VA, And I will inscribe them for you. Ripshin Farm, as mentioned in the letter, was Andersons home and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1971. The letter is in fine condition with some spots of toning and mailing folds.
