The Affair at the Inn

Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1904. First Edition. First printing Very good+ in tan cloth covered boards with red text on the spine and on the front board which is enhanced with a black illustration and a double rule outline. The cloth at the head of the spine has been nibbled by mice to a depth of 1/8" and with a gift inscription and date of 1905 on the first free end paper. In a very good- dust jacket with shallow chips at the ends of the spine area and at the fore corners of the panels and with a 1/4" deep chip at the lower edge of the front panel. Co-authored (truncated) with Mary Findlater, Jane Findlater and Allan McAulay. 220 pages followed by two pages of ads. With six illustrations by Martin Justice. Given the rarity of the dust jacket this is an uncommon find. (Inventory #: TB15675)
