Black cloth with gold lettering; 423 pp. with bw illustrations. Text in Russian. Grabar was born in Budapest and died in Moscow. He was known for his Russian post-impressionist paintings. The book consists of 357 letters written by Grabar, followed by a chronological commentary and index. A volume of letters 1941 to 1960 also was published.
