Frontispiece portrait of Mané-Katz by Picasso. Title-page in red and black lettering with printer's device. A detailed and lavishly illustrated account of the life and work of the Jewish, Ukrainian artist Emmanual Mané-Katz (1894-1962) up to 1933. Many of his paintings include Hassidic characters and people from the Jewish community. This study contains 6 color plates and numerous reproductions in photogravures. Limited edition, of which this is No. 24. Ex-library copy with library sticker at bottom of spine and on free front endpaper. Minor soiling on covers, and spine slightly age-toned. Very minor age-toning along paper margin. Text in French. Wrappers in overall good, interior in very good condition.
