CONTAINING PICTURESQUE, HISTORICAL, LEGENDARY, AND STATISTICAL SKETCHES OF ITS VICINITY WITH A MAP AND ILLUSTRATIONS, Joesph Thomas / Simpkin, Marshall, and Co., 1839, 236 pages, some wear and a bit of cloth loss to the spine extremities and fore edge corner tips, some soiling to the cloth boards, else a good to very good copy with the gold-gilt pictorial stamping of train engine and conductor on front cover still fairly bright. Illustrated in both color and black & white with all maps and folding plates present as called for. Very scarce. One institutional holding noted only, that in a library in Bern, Switzerland. No copies have been at auction that I could locate for at least the last 35 years.
