Scarce 1875 Werner & Schuhmann edition of a color illustrated German children's school book. Text in German, gothic script. Age wear, scuffing and staining on boards. Heavy tearing on most parts of spine. Fold on verso of plates expertly reinforced with white binders tape. Scribbling in pencil on (blank) verso of illustrations. First half of pages almost separated from book block. Sporadic soiling and slight finger smudging on margin of plates. Small chip on outer margin of two plates missing. Signature of previous owner, dated 16.9. 82, on inside of front board. Binding in poor, text leaves and illustrations in overall very good condition. Scarce. OCLC lists only 1 library worldwide owning this item.
