- London: Chapman & Hall, 1894
Tall 8vo, maroon cloth, stamped in gilt and black, frontispiece and 10 plates, plus folding map, xiv,[2], 327 pp. Covers scuffed, and book has slight bend, rear hing cracked, creasing to front endpaper, half title, and frontispiece, bookplate on front pastedown, scattered foxing; else very good. Bula N'zau, which means "elephant smasher", was the pseudonym Henry Bailey used as author of this book. By all accounts the name was very accurate. Baily spent about four years in the Cong hunting gorilla (not politically incorrect at the time), leopards, buffalo, and elephants.
