Depicting Theodore Roosevelt in profile above the quote: "Aggressive Fighting For The Right Is The Noblest Sport The World Affords." Executed by James Earle Fraser for the Decorative Arts League of New York. With the original hanging clasp and printed seal of the Decorative Arts League at the back. Scattered surface soiling with some chipping to the bottom edge, very good. Fraser, best known for the Indian Head or "Buffalo" nickel which he created in 1913, is considered to be one of the most important American sculptors of his generation. (Inventory #: 344291)
