Folio (8x12) 2 pp. Light age toning and soiling, with original folds and light wear. Some minor chipping at edges, remnants of red wax seal in lower right. Very good overall. This is a handwritten deed issued and signed by James Babcock for land “on the west side of Wilamantuck River near Coventry.” The sale was for sixty pounds 'current money’. The land appears to be sold by William Allyn, who was probably related to the Allyn family that settled Colonial Connecticut, and Ichabod Warner.
