First edition. 8vo. 25 pp. Large folding map, 51 x 68 cm., of the railroad and canal systems of Pennsylvania and Maryland, the routes hand-colored according to status (e.g., proposed routes in yellow). The Cumberland Valley Rail Road ran from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to Hagerstown, Maryland. OCLC locates four copies (American Antiquarian Society, Columbia, Maryland, Missouri-St. Louis), with the description of only one (Missouri-St. Louis) mentioning the map. Map backed with archival paper, but an attractive copy. New printed brown wrappers, in facsimile of the original. (#3733).
