A description of "the newly discovered copper country in the Walker Lake District, Nevada," a discussion of "the romance of copper", and depiction of some of the "picturesque figures of Nevada" like W.W. Munds, a "typical prospector. In stature he is about five feet six inches, and he weighs about 170 pounds. He is about fifty years old, is rugged and active as a man many years his junior." He discovered "the rich ground" now owned by the two companies.
