FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT

ca 1926. A Japanese portfolio, 4to all in Japanese with an exceptionally beautiful cover in gold, red & black in the style of "House Beautiful" designed pages. The two ties are present. There are 48 plates probably complete. There is no Table of Contents to tell. The portfolio begins with a portrait of Wright. The spine is damaged at top & bottom, but the plates & cover are in very good condition. The plates include Midway Gardens, Unity Temple, Imperial Hotel - plans & photos of projects. It is accompanied by "Wasmuths Monatscheft fur Baukunst, #6, 1926, 6pp., 2 illus. This is printed in German on the paper cover.

Whether these two items are related or not is debatable, but they are both the same size & arrived to us together. It is probably too rare to have been seen by most people.
