Preserved in clamshell case within cloth slipcase. Marseille: Editions AGEP, 1980. An evocative selection of original photographs using of children dressed in costumes inspired by Picasso, to evoke the ephemeral and disappearing world of itinerant theatrical performers. Clergue states in the text that Les Saltimbanques was inspired by the film Orpheé by Cocteau and the film La Strada by Fellini. Limited edition of 100 copies signed and numbered by Clergue on the final page of the text and also on the original photograph.
